Shamrah and Tyler’s Elopement: Breathtaking First Look at Zion National Park
Before the sun rose, it was still dark outside and you could see every star in the sky. During their elopement at Zion National Park, we aimed to optimize all the light we had, so we ensured we arrived at the park before the sun did! It was really important to Shamrah and Tyler to have a first look before they got married, and so we met Tyler outside of the park and drove in together where we met up with Shamrah and her mom.
They were both super nervous and excited, everything began to feel real!! Garrett and I had scouted out locations the week prior so we knew that the best place for the first look would be close to the entrance of the park so they could spend much time together on their elopement as possible! We wanted them to experience the first look so they could continue with the rest of the adventures they had planned.
Their first look was beautiful. When we set up the stage, and Shamrah touched Tyler with her hand, we stepped back, allowing a hush to fall over everyone, honoring their intimate moment. Our goal was for them to feel completely present, and they did. We gave all the time as they needed to soak the moment while documenting every emotion and feeling we could. It was a breathtaking experience.
Embracing the Magic of Love
Now it was time to move on to the rest of the day! One of our favorite locations for their Zion National Park elopement photos is the Canyon Overlook Trail overlooking the entire park. The view is stunning, and Shamrah and Tyler were willing to hike the whole mile in their wedding attire to get the best photos as well as the best memories! Climbing mountains together and sharing in their giddy excitement moments before they tied the knot was an absolute joy.
