Though they call Iowa home, this adventurous couple shares a deep love for travel and exploring new landscapes. So when they discovered Wadley Farms, a stunning Utah wedding venue, it instantly felt like the perfect place to say “I do.”
On May 2nd, Laura and Dallas, along with their closest friends and family, boarded planes and headed west for their dream destination wedding. Utah’s natural beauty provided the most incredible backdrop, and Wadley Farms delivered on every romantic, storybook detail they had envisioned. From the very start of the day, emotions ran high. Laura was still finishing her vows while we captured some getting-ready shots and dreamy flat lays. The excitement and energy were palpable.
But the true heart of the day began with their first look—an intimate moment just for them before the ceremony. When Laura gently turned Dallas around, his reaction said it all. Tears filled his eyes as he gazed at his bride for the first time. He didn’t look away. Instead, he lifted her hand and kissed it with so much tenderness, it made everyone around them pause. That moment of connection, of deep gratitude and love, was unforgettable.
Utah Wedding: Tender Moments, Thoughtful Touches
Laura and Dallas exchanged private vows in that same quiet space—just the two of them, away from the crowd. You could feel how much they cherished that little bubble of time together. We gave them space to fully soak it in before continuing with portraits and family photos. One of the sweetest touches of the day? The couple had microphones clipped on for most of the day to record the small, candid conversations between them. Those unrehearsed words and spontaneous laughs will now live forever in a custom audio file—such a thoughtful and unique keepsake.
Later, they signed their marriage certificate, took some time to celebrate with the people who traveled so far to support them, and got ready for the party. And let us tell you—the celebration did not disappoint.
A Grand Entrance and an Epic Celebration
Their reception kicked off with one of the most incredible grand entrances we’ve ever witnessed. The DJ announced each family member and member of the wedding party as they entered through large doors with music and flair. Then came the moment everyone was waiting for: Laura and Dallas made their entrance from a spiral staircase to the theme from Beauty and the Beast. It was straight out of a fairytale—and it went right into their romantic first dance.
The evening flowed effortlessly from dances to heartfelt speeches, and then straight into their one-of-a-kind casino night reception! Complete with gaming tables and festive energy, guests got to play, laugh, and celebrate in style.
To make things even sweeter, Laura and Dallas brought along an old-school home movie camcorder they found on Amazon. They passed it around throughout the night, capturing silly, heartfelt, and candid moments with their guests. It’s such a charming way to preserve memories, and one they hope to share with their future kids one day.
As the sun began to set, we stepped out for golden-hour portraits. It gave Laura and Dallas a quiet moment together amidst all the celebration. Then, it was right back to dancing, games, and soaking in every bit of joy. Their wedding at Wadley Farms was not just a beautiful day—it was a reflection of their adventurous spirits, their love for each other, and the people who mean the most to them.
